Northwest Arkansas has so many different events running all year long. This makes it the perfect place for you and your family to relocate. When trying to find a place to put down your roots it’s important to find a great community and things to do that interest everyone in the family, no mater how different those interests are. We have compiled a list of several super fun events for people of many interests happening in NWA.
Bikes Blues and BBQ
This motorcycle rally is definitely one of the most famous annual events in NWA. This event happens at the end of September each year in Fayetteville. Bikes Blues and BBQ is the world’s largest charity motorcycle rally, all proceeds collected are donated to important local charities. This event lasts for 3 full days and is for the whole family to enjoy. There are lots of different events such as band performances, a parade, a bike show, a bike giveaway, BBQ competitions, contests, demo rides, helicopter rides, bull riding, and much more! If you want to get a good feel for our community in NWA, visiting Bikes Blues and BBQ is the perfect way to do it.
Bentonville Film Festival
If you love watching tons of great films, NWA has an annual event for you! The Bentonville Film Festival is hosted on the Bentonville Square in early May every year. This six day event is a non-profit American Film Festival with a huge focus on diversity. Geena Davis was the pain person making this possible, and came to Bentonville when Walmart, the founding sponsor, suggested it for a location. There are 400 inclusive films, 60 impactful panels, a diversity and inclusion summit, and powerful discussions on diversity in media. There are also tons of tents and booths to visit, all companies and local places wanting to promote positive change. The Bentonville Film Festival is a perfect place for the family, and gives great new perspectives to the people of NWA.
Fall Arts & Craft Fairs
There are many craft fairs that take place all over NWA in the fall! These always have amazing artists and craftsmen, often live music and amazing food. The Homegrown Festival in Siloam Springs is one to visit in early October. They have arts, crafts, live music, food trucks, and even kayaking! Spanker Creek Farms Arts and Crafts Festival has been going strong for 11 years, it starts in mid-October and is another great one to visit. One of the best and largest fairs that is a must visit is War Eagle Mill Craft and Culinary Fair! This fair has been an annual event in NWA for 44 years, and has a huge selection of arts and foods to explore. A few things you will most likely see here is watercolor art, botanical art, ceramics, jewelry, homemade soaps, delectable food samples, a cooking demo, and live music. Craft fairs are fun for everyone and supporting local artists is a great way to give back to the community.
Food and Drink Events in NWA
If food and music are your preferred ways to spend your time, here are a few events focused on exactly that. The Fayetteville Roots Festival is an urban music and food festival there are tons of things to do and enjoy here. It is is a great time for everyone.
In Bentonville, the Oktoberfest is a great time to getaway for awhile. This festival has tons of food, beer, and music! If those are your passion, then you should also check out the annual Bite NWA; a three day food festival that celebrates the regions culinary arts.
